OUR JOURNEY
Our sustainability journey started in 2019 when we were one of the UK’s youngest brands to be awarded the Butterfly Mark by Positive Luxury. We held the prestigious Butterfly Mark from 2019 – 2024 by passing Positive Luxury’s ESG+ assessment bi-annually. Our journey with Positive Luxury helped us to develop specific brand goals across social, environmental and material factors, and has formed a vital framework for our sustainability initiatives.
As part of our ongoing commitment to reducing our impact on the environment, we’re excited to announce our new partnership with Fairly Made® to trace, map and achieve further visibility across our supply chain, measure the impact of our products, and communicate it transparently; our next main focus.

FAIRLY MADE®
Fairly Made® will begin a comprehensive project to measure and score our products based on key sustainability metrics. This initiative will provide us with the tools to understand the traceability of our products, from their origins to their impact on the world. This will allow us to be fully transparent with our customers about the story behind each product.
By partnering with Fairly Made®, we will be able to trace the environmental footprint and social implications of every product we offer. This will help to guide our future choices, ensuring that we continually improve our practices and work towards reducing our impact. We’re excited to begin this new chapter, and we’re committed to keeping our customers updated as our journey progresses.

Neşeli, kutlayıcı bir marka olan Needle & Thread, her özel gün için başvurulacak bir markadır. Kadınların her etkinlikte kendilerini güvende ve güzel hissetmelerini sağlamak için dönüştürücü, ruhani stilleri el işçiliğiyle üretiyoruz. Boyut Kapsayıcılığı
Size inclusivity is also a core brand value, and we offer sizing from UK4-24, providing extensive access to high-quality, luxurious style for all sizes. Our collections are lovingly designed in-house, with every artwork individually hand-drawn for all sizes - from the opulent all-over sequins to the elaborate embroideries - bringing a level of specialist craftsmanship at a volume that’s unprecedented in the fashion industry.

- We are striving to reduce our reliance on virgin materials by developing our core fabric and components in more responsibly sourced options. To find out more about our efforts please see our Responsibly Sourced Fabrication and our Responsibly Sourced selection.
- Our sustainability commitment is that by 2024 up to 90% of our collection will be made with responsibly sourced components and materials.
- All of our suppliers who produce our products made from recycled materials are all audited under the Global Recycle Standard (GRS).
- We are striving to reduce our reliance on virgin materials by developing our core fabric and components in more responsibly sourced options. To find out more about our efforts please see our Responsibly Sourced Fabrication and our Responsibly Sourced selection.
- Our sustainability commitment is that by 2024 up to 90% of our collection will be made with responsibly sourced components and materials.

Packaging:
- We have removed all virgin plastics from our supplier shipping packaging. We use polybags that are made from 100% post-consumer waste.
- We are currently developing a more responsibly sourced packaging option for our e-commerce orders, due to launch in 2023.

Community Give Back:
- We believe in supporting our community and encourage our Needle & Thread team to participate in community give back opportunities arranged by the business.
- In 2019, we undertook a successful canal clean up in Hackney Wick.
- In July 2022, we took park in a beach clean-up in partnership with Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) on Brighton Beach.
