PS25 The Ophelia Collection

Needle & Thread Pre-Spring ‘25 is a collection inspired by the all-encompassing love of Shakespeare’s heroine, Ophelia. A key figure in pre-Raphaelite iconography, Ophelia is often depicted draped in diaphanous blue or pink gowns and carrying fresh, ditsy blooms or floating in sparkling ripples of water.

Ethereal and romantic, this collection centres around a scattering of shimmering sequin dot motifs, reminiscent of glistening droplets of water. Intricate ribbon sequin artworks and organic floral lace embroidery adorn feminine, frothy gowns.

This season, we expand our partywear range with more effortless, draped sequin silhouettes: the timeless and glamorous Amora and Valentina styles. Ruched like undulating waves of liquid gold, demure yet striking styles are complemented by sheer, translucent fluted sleeves and trailing capes.

The colour palette is a masterclass in tonal elegance — think antique gold, mocha and chocolate brown. Or delicate pastels – misty lilac, opal pink, topaz and dusk blue. Hero prints feature dreamy florals Hydrangea and Ophelia Ditsy, translated in crepe and lurex, and a bold new hand-painted animal print: Zebra.
