SS25 The Le Papillon Collection

Introducing “Le Papillon” — a collection inspired by the eponymous 1860’s French ballet, a romantic performance whereby the lead dancer is an enchanted princess that turns into a butterfly. Lace trims, ruffles and loose silhouettes evoke vintage romance, whilst intricate 3D designs inspired by scattering, flutter motifs shimmer in clustered sequin artworks.

A colour palette of elegant faded neutrals: fawn, blush, parchment, chestnut — sits alongside fresh, zesty pastel tones: primrose, bay green, daffodil – and lustrous metallics. Signature Needle & Thread caped silhouettes and sheer dresses feature throughout, as well as statement lace-up design details within our expanding partywear range.

An in-house hand-painted butterfly watercolour artwork provides the foundation for our Flutter Print. Meanwhile spring florals include the Floral Romance and Summer Rose prints, in soft yellow and pastel pink colourways, translated into the most intricate embroideries creating exquisite investment pieces.

As part of Needle & Thread’s enduring commitment to sustainability, 87% of this collection is made from sustainable materials, including 100% recycled sequins.

Spring-Summer ’25 is available from March 2025, in sizing from UK4 to UK24, with pricing ranging from £125 to £750.
