GIVING BACK
Hannah Coffin, Founder & CEO Needle & Thread
Founded by HRH The Prince of Wales, this charity helps 11-30 year olds to build their future through education, mentoring, grants, employment and enterprise. We are proud to be part of their Women Supporting Women programme which assists females in challenging situations, ranging from growing up in the care system to wellbeing issues. Employability programmes, confidence-building sessions and motivational courses have helped thousands of women begin promising new chapters in their lives.
“There are so many unique challenges faced by young people today, from a difficult start in life to a lack of mentoring. At Needle & Thread, we support all endeavours to give new generations the opportunity to aim high, without barriers” - Hannah
For over 100 years, this organisation has fought for a fairer world for children. Every child has the right to learn. Every child should have good food to fuel their imagination. Every child should have medicine when they're sick. Working alongside children in 122 countries, including the UK, the charity’s aim is that by 2030, no child dies from preventable causes before their fifth birthday, all children benefit from a quality basic education and violence against children is no longer tolerated.
“As a mother, I feel passionate about protecting and nurturing the lives of the young – this charity aims to help every child reach their full potential and we are proud to support their journey” - Hannah
For nearly three decades, this dynamic and dedicated charity has created ‘sister-to-sister’ connections between isolated women affected by war –initially in Bosnia and now across eight conflict-affected countries. We are committed to building a sustainable business that, by 2024, will largely utilise recycled and responsibly sourced materials.
